I’m Tami — the heart behind Pawsh Pet auPairs, where your pets are loved like family. With over 30 years of experience as a devoted pet parent to dogs and cats, animals have always brought comfort, joy, and companionship to my life.

In November 2023, I was faced with a series of heartbreaking losses — first, my beloved Goldendoodle, then my Miniature Poodle, my stepfather, my father, and eventually, my job. Life as I knew it shifted completely. In the wake of grief, I knew I needed time to heal before welcoming another pet into my life.

​

So I made a bold choice — I moved back to my hometown of Pittsburgh to be closer to family and to start over. I now live with my mom, who can’t have pets due to allergies, but my deep connection with animals remained.

 

That’s when I began pet sitting, originally just to reconnect with animals and explore parts of Pittsburgh I never got to know growing up.

What started as a personal coping journey quickly became a professional calling. Pawsh Pet auPairs was born out of love, healing, and a desire to provide exceptional, in-home overnight care for pets who thrive best in familiar surroundings.

I know how much our animals mean to us — they’re not just pets, they’re family. And when you're away, you deserve peace of mind knowing they’re cared for with compassion, presence, and heart.
